First teamed up in December 2023 to join Malvern’s celebration of the 125th birthday of local hero C.S Lewis.
As part of Malvern’s Narnia Art Trail, Austin and Co commissioned Jo to create a 2 metre painting in acrylic and resin paint to adorn the window of the their greetings card and stationary shop at 37 Worcester Road, Great Malvern.
Legend has it the acclaimed author C.S. Lewis was inspired by the gas lanterns in the town. Jo recreated her own interpretation of the the famous scene in The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, drawing inspiration from woodlands surrounding the Malvern Hills combined with punchy palette choices, and a little sparkle to give a unique twist on the theme.
When the Circus came to Austin & Co
In December 2024 Jo and Austin and Co teamed up to the second time to created a circus themed window Three times bigger that the 2023 lantern painting, Jo used the perspective of standing within the cirus ring to give a backdrop to the shops window mrechendicing over the Christmas period.
Much loved by customers and passers by the piece even saw a playful cameo by Mr Austin and his dogs.
